How to clean your Camera Lenses:
The Lens Blower:
When your shirt is the best thing you’ve got, your shirt is the best thing you’ve got… I have no judgement, we’ve all been there. But since we’re learning the right way to care for your lenses, lets start with the lens blower. What the heck does a lens blower do? A lens blower gets most of the big stuff off of your glass so that when we start to use finer cleaning tools, we aren’t creating micro abrasions in the lens coatings. Go crazy with the lens blower, you’ll love it.
The Lens Brush
Its kind of like painting your nails. Go easy, just a whisper. Brush off both ends of your glass to get anything you new favorite lens blower left behind. Just be gentle. The Sensai lens cleaning kit also includes a cleaning pen for on the go cleaning.
The Secret Lens Cleaning Solution
Give a few good sprays to a small part of the microfiber cloth included in the lens cleaning kit. Work in circular motions to distribute solution. You can even use the blower to speed up the air drying process. Don’t forget to clean the backside of your lens as well.
Don’t break your camera sensor:
Outside of blowing air to get dust off your sensor, I wouldn’t recommend doing anything else yourself. Its always best to seek professional help when it comes to the soul of your camera. There are cleaning services available from third parties, as well as directly from most manufacturers.
